Aarangar operates at multiple levels. We raise awareness and empower individuals and communities on water conservation, environmental issues, and climate resilience. Through collaboration with rural communities, we implement grassroots interventions to conserve water, restore nature, and create livelihood opportunities. We also document and measure the impacts of our interventions to build science-based evidence.
Aarangar was formed in 2018 by a group of like-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared desire to contribute to humanity. Recognizing the interconnectedness of issues like water scarcity, loss of livelihoods, rural migration, women's drudgery, girl education, and climate change, they believed that solving water scarcity could help address many related environmental and societal challenges.
