Aarangar Environment Action Foundation prepared “Evidence for Action: Practice and Policy Lessons from Baran”, a comprehensive Practice and Policy Reference Book documenting the implementation experience and systemic learnings from the IndusInd Bank Limited (IBL) CSR Flagship Programme in Baran, Rajasthan, anchored by the Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR). Developed through an extensive review of programme evidence, field experiences, institutional processes, and stakeholder insights, the publication captures how integrated rural development can be translated into scalable, systems-based action. The reference book synthesises lessons across water resources, agriculture, livelihoods, health, nutrition, education, social protection, governance, and community institutions, while highlighting the critical role of convergence, adaptive implementation, and community participation. It presents field-tested frameworks, policy recommendations, implementation pathways, and replication models that are valuable for governments, CSR foundations, development organisations, and practitioners. The publication distills complex, multi-sector development programmes into practical, evidence-based publications that inform policy and practice.
